Pure 99.9% electrolyte copper molecularly bonded to high strength steel cores fully meet the requirements of UL- 467 (ANSI C-33-8-1972). The rods consist of a pure copper jacket of 10mils. thickness. Also some of the sizes meet REA/RUS standards where the minimum copper coating is 13 mils.and /or thicker copper coating.

For the purpose of deeper driving the ground rod into the earth, one end or each end is cold-roll processed with strong threads for connecting different lengths of rods together with couplings. The length of the thread is uniform and protected by plastic sheath for preventing damage to the thread during transit and shipping.
